Due to an upcoming extended staff leave, Our client has a vacancy for an engineering geologist on a fixed term contract, that is almost guaranteed to turn into a permanent position
The successful candidate will be a graduate in a geology- or have an earth science-related degree, ideally with industrial experience, preferably in both geotechnics and contaminated land, though high performing graduates will be considered.
The position will be part site-based and part office-based. Site work will be varied, but will include walkover surveys for both geotechnical and contamination assessment purposes, and supervision of a wide range of ground investigation techniques. Office work will include desk studies, design and analysis of ground investigations, factual and interpretive report writing and general client, contractor and regulator liaison.
