Geotechnical Engineer required to join an international multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with a long history of experience in the built environment.

Expertise and capabilities cover: Aviation, Buildings, Civil Structures, Highways & Transportation, Land.

Our client is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer with drive and enthusiasm, who is able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Geotechnical engineering.

You will be able to demonstrate experience in the design of shallow and deep foundations, retaining walls and slope stability and to have experience in the preparation of desk studies, and the design and reporting of ground investigations.

The role will offer you exposure to a large range of project work and liaison with clients (both externally and internally from other sectors/offices).

Essential requirements

• 2-3 years+ of relevant post-graduate experience.
• Experience with a focus on the detailed design of shallow and deep foundations, embedded retaining walls, deep excavations and highway design would be an advantage.
• A working knowledge of geotechnical software such as WALLAP, Pdisp and PLAXIS is desirable.
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with good communication skills and report writing.
• Communication skills; Verbal & Written.
• Experience in ground investigation design, specification and implementation.
• Previous experience of an engineering organisation
• Skills A working knowledge of geotechnical software such as WALLAP, Pdisp and PLAXIS is desirable.
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with good communication skills and report writing.
