Key Responsibilities

This role will be based with the team in their Cambridge office and will involve working on contaminated land projects across the East, including the investigation of historic contamination, responding to pollution events, and the remediation of groundwater and soils.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to manage projects from inception to completion and will involve both office and varied site work.

Dependent on experience, the role may also offer opportunities in geotechnics, hydrogeology, remediation design, and other related fields.

 

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have a relevant degree (geology, environmental science, hydrogeology or similar), at least 1 years’ relevant industry experience, a knowledge of Phase I and II site investigations and/or spill response, good understanding of Health and Safety on site, and sound commercial awareness, with an understanding of budgeting and time management.

An understanding of remediation techniques and their application, knowledge of environmental risk assessment, and experience in managing sub-contractors would also be beneficial.

You will need to be motivated, have good organisational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to interact confidently with other members of a multi-disciplinary team, professional clients, sub-contractors and members of the public.

A full UK/EU driving licence is essential for this role and a valid CSCS card is beneficial.
