Our clients Geo team undertakes a diverse range of projects across various sectors, to deliver geo-environmental consultancy services backed up by in-house ground investigation services.
The successful candidate will become a member of this busy team delivering focused solutions for a growing key client base, with emphasis on technical excellence, client care and effective project management. You will be working alongside other land contamination, environmental due diligence, ground investigation, groundwater and geo-technical specialists to deliver holistic solutions to clients’ needs in these areas. Additionally, the successful candidate will be collaborating with geo-environmental teams in other offices and with other specialists in the planning, environment and engineering teams.
Key attributes required for the position are sound technical knowledge, enthusiasm, self-motivation and excellent verbal and written communication skills. We anticipate the role will require approximately 50% of your time will be site based (typically around London and the SE but occasionally further afield nationally and internationally) and 50% will be office based, but this may vary as workload dictates.
Qualifications
You will hold a degree in geology, engineering geology, hydrogeology or relevant environmental science discipline. Whilst not essential, it would be beneficial for you to have a post graduate qualification such as a Master’s degree. You should also be working towards Chartership with a relevant body, such as CIWEM IEMA or Geo Soc. You will have post graduate industry experience.
An understanding of current contaminated land technical guidance, Part 2A legislation and the development planning regime.
