Due to increasing workload our client wishes to recruit an additional engineering
geologist or geo-environmental engineer. The role involves working within a small team of
engineers, reporting to Principal Engineer and/or Director level. The company is based in
Gloucester however site-work is mainly based around the South Midlands, although as with any site based role, there is also occasional work across the UK, thus you must have your own vehicle and a full UK driving license.

The role involves everything from initial desk studies of site history and environmental records,
through to designing and supervising all types of mainstream ground investigation (trial pitting,
window sampling, rotary and cable percussion drilling, soakaway testing etc) and interpretive
reporting. Most projects are undertaken as combined geotechnical and geo-environmental
assessments. Regular site work should be expected, which can on occasions be physically
demanding.

Whilst the ideal candidate would comprise a geology or engineering geology graduate with say 2-
5 years’ worth of relevant experience, we are prepared to consider other candidates from related
disciplines or new graduates, since the necessary job-specific training will be given. Salary will be
commensurate with qualifications and experience; expenses and mileage are reimbursed at cost.
