Our client is an internationally recognised, independent consultancy providing geotechnical and environmental services for land development and waste management projects. They have been established for over 35 years, providing advice and support on land acquisition and construction projects within the UK and overseas.
They are currently expanding their services in the Glasgow region and are pleased to announce that an exciting position for a Graduate Geo-environmental Engineer has arisen to assist with future contracts.
The role will entail the completion of Phase I & II reports, site based investigations; site based monitoring of gas & groundwater, scheduling and interpretation of laboratory chemical and geotechnical analysis. The candidate will also be expected to undertake tasks in the day to day operation of the office and aid in the development of the business in conjunction with the senior management team.
Training will be provided but candidates should be able to demonstrate an understanding and interest in a number of the following areas;
o Phase I desk study appraisals;
o Design and coordination of site investigations;
o Logging of soil and rock to BS 5930:2015;
o Scheduling of chemical and geotechnical laboratory testing;
o Preparation of contract documentation, specifications for drilling and ground investigation;
o Production of factual and interpretative reports; and,
o Full clean driving licence.
