Senior / Principal Milton Keynes

Roles and Responsibilities 
Implement internal QMS procedures and ensure all outputs comply with the company’s internal checking protocols.
Full project management of projects of all sizes including commercial delivery of projects, ensuring timescales and budgets are met.
Input into the preparation of fee proposals and develop associated site investigations scopes.
Lead the site investigation process from concept (proposals) through to completion (reporting, additional work including remediation strategy, DQRA, earthworks specifications etc) on projects of all sizes.
Undertake coordination with other professionals and contractors as appropriate.
Liaise with Clients and other members of the design team to ensure investigations and designs meet the Clients brief including attendance at design team meetings / site meetings as required.
Work independently on smaller projects, or as part of a team on more significant schemes.
Collaborative working with other Egniol Consulting offices across different disciplines.
Mentoring of less experienced members of the Geoenvironmental Engineering team.
Actively pursue new business opportunities.
Skills & knowledge requirements 
Working knowledge of design standards in accordance with British Standards, Eurocodes, CIRIA, BRE, NHBC etc to successfully deliver projects for our Clients.
Designs will be produced by hand calculation or using Design Software as appropriate to the nature and magnitude of the project and to underpin this you will be expected to have a sound grasp of Engineering Principles and/or a good understanding of Contaminated Land Risk Assessment (ideally skilled in both geotechnical and contaminated land).
Excellent IT skills including a basic understanding of AutoCAD and a good understanding of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
Proficient in the use of software such as technical design packages including SlopeW (or similar), Holebase etc.
A good knowledge of Holebase software is required for production of logs and cross sections, and also training Engineers.
Proficient in foundation design and recommendations, earthworks, slope stability, and contaminated land risk assessment including remediation, DQRA etc. A bias towards geotechnical or contaminated land is likely, however a good knowledge of both disciplines is required.

Qualifications 
Degree in relevant Engineering subject.
Minimum 6 years’ experience working in similar engineering consultancy.
Chartered Geologist, Engineering Geologist or Scientist.
